Engaging the Hispanic and Latino Community
El Departamento de Servicios Comunitarios provee maneras para que los residentes de habla hispana se involucren en sus vecindarios y en actividades comunitarias.
El Departamento:
- Trabaja para asegurar que los miembros de la comunidad hispano-latina tengan acceso a los servicios del gobierno local, estatal y federal.
- Conecta a los miembros de la comunidad hispano-latina con los recursos y servicios disponibles de grupos públicos y privados.
- Anualmente organiza el Festival Viva Raleigh el cual provee información sobre la Ciudad de Raleigh y organizaciones locales no-lucrativas y de servicios.
- Informa a los miembros de la comunidad hispano-latina acerca de las ordenanzas municipales.
- Ayuda a los nuevos miembros hispano-latinos de nuestra comunidad en su adaptación a la cultura y ambiente de su nueva comunidad.
- Fomenta el respeto entre todos los grupos étnicos en nuestra ciudad.
Asistencia a hispano-hablantes
Si usted habla español y desea conocer sobre los servicios y programas de la Ciudad de Raleigh comuníquese al 919-996-6100 y pida a alguien que hable español.
El personal le puede ayudar a obtener información sobre reciclaje, recolección de basura, alquiler de instalaciones en parques de la ciudad y otros servicios. También se le puede ayudar a encontrar clínicas de salud y otras organizaciones que se ocupen de asuntos tales como vivienda justa y discrimen en el empleo.

Access, Information for All
The Community Services Department encourages members of the Hispanic and Latino community to become involved in their neighborhoods and in community activities.
The department:
- Works to ensure that members of the Hispanic-Latino community have access to the services of local, state and federal governments.
- Connects members of the Hispanic-Latino community to resources and services available from other public and private groups.
- Organizes the annual Viva Raleigh festival to provide information about the City of Raleigh and local nonprofits.
- Informs members of the Hispanic-Latino community about city ordinances.
- Helps the transition of members of the Hispanic-Latino community into the culture of their new home.
- Encourages respect among all ethnic groups in our City.
Assistance for Spanish Speakers
If you speak Spanish and would like to learn about City of Raleigh services and programs, please call the Community Services Department at 919-996-6100 and ask to speak to a staff member who speaks Spanish.
The staff can help you get information about recycling, trash pickup, park facility rentals, and other services. The staff also can help you find health clinics and agencies that deal with such matters as fair housing and job discrimination.
