Part Time Position: Teen X-Treme Summer Camp Director

Responsible for planning and implementing an array of summer camp activities for 12-14 year olds including: arts and crafts, athletics, and recreation based programs. Applicant for this position must be well rounded, organized, and a self starter.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Thorough knowledge and application of cultivating positive group dynamics
• Leadership and public relations skills/ability to communicate with parents
• Understanding teenagers developmental needs
• Ability to lead and direct staff
• High level of personal maturity, communication skills, and confidence

Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement summer camp programming
• Recognize and respond appropriately in emergencies
• Enforce all City of Raleigh and Teen Program policies, rules, and regulations
• Supervise 1-4 counselors at site regarding camper/staff interaction
• Supervise 24-48 campers depending on site
• Attend all City of Raleigh required trainings including First Aid/CPR
• Maintain a high quality, safe, and enriching program
• Complete additional duties as assigned by supervisor
